*figure it out For the "Fritz" entry you must know who came before nikkipikkel, he was a rather accident prone individual and we haven't heard much from him lately. I believe he is still circumnavigating the globe in a hot airballoon, but no one knows for sure. For the "fucking bastards" entry the password is a number. I have 1 hamster and __ fish. This is also the number of voices in my head. For the "Whore" entry the password is the official name of my first hamster. Now I called him a lot of things but the name I'm looking for is also the name of his father. . . (this should help weed out all of the ppl that don' pay attention- you guys are undeserving ) For the "I think he likes me" entry all you need to know is what my favorite drink is. All lower case if it matters. For those that know me this should be easy. And for those of you that actually saw this little module, props to you too for checking out the whole page. | Earth Class Mail Friday. 5.9.08 6:04 pm Your Postal Mail Online - You'll manage your postal mail as easily as your email! How it works: First you pick a "Remote Address". When you recieve mail a scanned image of the front of the still sealed envelop is instantly sent to you online. You decide what you want thrown out and what you want "opened". You can also opt to have sensitive mail shredded, junk mail recycled and archives stored at Earth Class Mail's facility. They advertise themselves as great for travelers who can't have a single address for mail to be delivered. I don't personally think this is useless. You can already pay most bills online and handle other business over the phone. Also they advertise themselves as "green" but there isn't anyless waste - its just being delivered somewhere else for someone else to deal with! Also how much do you pay some one to scan and sort your mail? It doesn't stop the US postal Service from losing mail either! Maybe I could see the viability i this kind of service if I was a travler that is away from home for months at a time. But then again - whereever I am - I don't want to deal with mail. http://www.earthclassmail.com/ Comment! (1) | Recommend! | Categories: Technology [t] Out of Date Wednesday. 5.7.08 2:15 am This has to be the most neglected blog on nutang. Looking at the Saturday Night Rentals module, you would think I haven't seen a new movie in 5 years. But that's not true. I skipped my qualitative analysis class to watch a pirated "Enchanted" the other morning. Then I got a 60 on my last midterm. I guess I should have done more analysis. .. I was suppose to be writing these tech focused blogs, 5 throughout the semester, and now here we are in the last three weeks of the term with only one down. A half ass one to boot. sigh I just don't want to do it anymore. I don't want to do it and you can't make me! However you can punish me. Sweet, sweet punishment in all your various forms. I haven't done much in 5 years. I'm where I was. how very depressing Comment! (2) | Recommend! Correspondence Wednesday. 4.2.08 11:38 pm Original Email: A meal at mcdonalds is $10 each day. Breakfast at school is at least $3. Lunch is at least $5. Disneyland food was $30 each day. I want an extra $300 a month to pay for food, costumes for my show, regular hygiene products, a helmet, etc. If there is concern that i might use the money carelessly, i will agree to collect reciepts to show you to ensure the money is spent on necessaties Mother's Reply: I am already paying Mr Williams $300/month to rent 1/2 of Ruth's bedroom and for some meals, which I presume is dinner. Do you eat dinner at his house? You could make pasta. I could drop off groceries if you e-mail me list every Sunday or Friday afternoonA meal at mcdonalds is $10 each day. You eat at Mcdonald"s everyday? or was this for Disneyland only?. Breakfast at school is at least $3 (That is $60 a month, you could spend on costumes or movies or clothes; Why don't you wake up 30 minutes early & eat brkfst at home? make bagel & cream cheese, fruit, milk, juice, cold cereal, etc....... ) Lunch is at least $5 (OK). Disneyland food was $30 each day (are you saying you've spent $200 in 7 days, and that you are out of money today and need $$ right now?). I want an extra $300 a month to pay for food (OK), costumes for my show (this is not a necessity, get a job!), regular hygiene products (OK), a helmet (we have lots of helmets in the garage), etc. If there is concern that i might use the money carelessly, i will agree to collect reciepts to show you to ensure the money is spent on necessaties (do that!). Your cell phone costs me $40/month. I now pay Mr Williams $300/month for rent + $300 for your spending money, for a total of $640/month. Mr Williams says he will not allow you to stay in his house when he is promoted, because he will need to travel for a week at a time and cannot trust you to be at his house alone. You will have to look for another place to stay as soon as he announces his promotion. Why doesn't Ruth's mother like you? Wake up!! Realize that in exactly 8 months you will have no income unless you start working. No rent, no pocket money, no cell phone, no nothing!!! Get 2 jobs this summer while getting some vocational training. Save for the cold winter. Comment! (1) | Recommend! Tech Tasks Wednesday. 3.12.08 8:49 pm Individual Tech Tasks Below is a description of possible individual technology tasks designed to provide you with opportunities to use new and developing technologies. MANDATORY 1. Create a blog and make at least five entries throughout the semester related to you major and how technology affects it. MANDATORY FOR ALL. You may use any service (search for various sites that allow you to do this e.g. blogger.com) Entry One: I bought a smart phone: The Palm Centro. My bf, who works for Sony, and is rather tech saavy asks me why I need a smart phone. The first question should have been, 'do you even know what a smart phone is/does?' Answer: no. All I know is that my plan costs more. Here is my reasoning - Andi is leaving sprint so this is my last chance to upgrade to a snazzy new phone for a fraction of the cost. (Andi was also moving in but that is another story.) Also - I don't have a laptop of my own. I'm borrowing my bf's. So I thought a smart phone was a nice in between (between having a laptop and not having a laptop?) Admitedly I'm a little drunk on new tech toys. I bought a flat screen for my desk top and the bf brought home a PSP which has been glued to my hands for weeks. So I was excited about the opportunity to get a new toy. I think I'm off track . . . how technology effects my major . . . well i can now recieve emails on my mobile device which allows me to communicate and network with people no matter where I am. I am more able to read about the latest innovations and to jump on any opportunities that may present themselves. hmm . . . for the first entry, I think that was pretty good. Comment! Gone baby Gone Thursday. 2.21.08 1:01 am she moved out of the house a couple of weeks ago. she was told to find a job, and not to return until she did. so she left. that was a Sunday. she wasn't back monday or tuesday. but the school hadn't called so she was still going. mom was worried. she tried to hide it. one day she sent an email. she had a place to stay and food to eat. she was safe with good people who would drive her wherever she wanted to go. a place to sleep. said she wasn't planning on coming home except for clothes. selfish bitch. Comment! (1) | Recommend! Ignorance is not an Excuse Sunday. 6.10.07 10:30 pm I started this blog so long ago. Its crazy to go back and read the shit you pounded out on a keyboard nearly 5 years ago. You remember odd little things about each entry - either the event being described or the reliving of the event as you typed it out later. 23 years old now. New BF. New Job. New outlook. New Direction. Same friends though . . . a couple of new addtions have spiced up my lif e a little. Things haven't really changed though. I'm not any smarter than I was then. No more confident or tactful. I'm making the same mistakes but in different ways. Maybe that's learning - Not making the exact same mistake over again. I keep thinking I really need to start growing up. But I have no idea of what it means. Only that it is something I should be working towards. I don't know why. Maybe I'll be a better person, more successful and happier. But I'm not unhappy now and those changes would actly makeother people happier than they would make me. Maybe I just don't know. A Fortune Cookie told me today that "Ignorance is not an excuse". What the hell is that suppose to mean? Comment! (3) | Recommend! |
